Riding home this evening on my very new 1200GSA, I was horrified when it died on me along the way!! I was accelerating out of an intersection in 2nd gear when all of a sudden it cut out . . . I rolled into a parking slot and tried to start it again without any luck. The onboard gizmos told me I had another 250-odd kms to go on the tank. I added another 7lts in the hope that it ran out and the gauge was the lying type. Still no luck. The engine turned but it did not start. No error code/doom warnings nothing on the display either!!
So after a bit I called my friendly BMW dealer and had them fetch the bike for early morning inspection and repairs. The only remarkable thing was that it happened the moment the odometer reached 1000kms!! I had the bike for 3 weeks now. Has anyboby else experienced the same with this ultimately reliable piece of machinery?
