not much in the way of words, it was a long day 8AM to 730PM

We met in Bothasig and rode out to Malmsbury as much dirt as possible.
We arrived at Steven's smallholding for a drinks break. This turned out to be WR450 test time.  Steven has a track that runs around the perimeter of his farm. What an impressive bike.

i learnt a lot about sand this day

Awesome !

I can imagine the XR was in its element.

Nothing like having the right tool for the right job, using it what it was made for !

Cool pics and ride !

(And what an awesome day it was, yesterday ! - I had to do some work close to N1 city, so after I finished I took a little detour past Vissershok, Adderley road, the wind generators, fisantekraal and back home - nice fresh open and not too hot day)

Btw - I just noticed your new signature:

Kickstarting an XR is like a raindance, once you know the secret ritual you can make it rain on command.

Very funny, but very true.

You made the 'starting ritual' almost look like a dance on the attakwas trip.
:D ;D

Yeh , it was great fun and i enjoyed the ride but very physical. Above Simons Town in the sand it wasnt possible to get up to speed because of the winding twists, here it was speed or just get swallowed.Late Sat night, i got really  stoked about what i had managed.
Never sure about CT winter , but the weather turned into perfect riding weather. We could still see snow on the far mountains.

Btw- as dreary as winter can be in Capetown, so amazing is the open days.

It's really cool on a day like that (after a storm like we had the prior couple of days) to come over Tygerberg hill and see Capetown crisp and clean ahead of you without her usual smog coat...

so right,  it really stood out on Sunday like i was seeing it for the first time again.
Even on the ride it was clear from the Atlantis dunes.

Nice ride & cool pics guys.
I havn't done that trip for a looooong time! Did it about 10yrs ago on a quad.
