Crab rumbled into my driveway for a quick cup of coffee and patiently waited for me to strap all my goodies on the bike. I was not happy as I discovered my yellow fish and trout flies box is missing so the wife made us some carp pap stuff and off we went.
None of us have been to “Die Kaia” before although we have past the sign board countless times; we were all silently hoping it was going to be as good as their website which it was.
From the moment you arrive till you leave you are pampered and fed, you feel like part of the family.
I had a double bed 2 braai packs and the host gave us mealies, potato salad, green salad and rooster broed for a R160.
Lunch was two toasted cheese and tomato, salad and slices of leg of lamb (braaing in the corner) R15 only.
Rolling into the garage we parked next to bunch of bikes which turned out to Canadians on a tour, they were on their way to Lesotho.
There we met Mr T and his guests Etenne and Delene and we cruised to the Bushman Sand hotel in Alicedale for coffee before tackling the dirt.
The first stretch of gravel was new for us except for Mr.T and wow it was a blast with awesome scenery
Anyway here are the photos, enjoy.
1=Canadians and their tour guide.
