Crab rumbled into my driveway for a quick cup of coffee and patiently waited for me to strap all my goodies on the bike. I was not happy as I discovered my yellow fish and trout flies box is missing so the wife made us some carp pap stuff and off we went.
None of us have been to “Die Kaia” before although we have past the sign board countless times; we were all silently hoping it was going to be as good as their website which it was.
From the moment you arrive till you leave you are pampered and fed, you feel like part of the family.
I had a double bed 2 braai packs and the host gave us mealies, potato salad, green salad and rooster broed for a R160.
Lunch was two toasted cheese and tomato, salad and slices of leg of lamb (braaing in the corner) R15 only.
Rolling into the garage we parked next to bunch of bikes which turned out to Canadians on a tour, they were on their way to Lesotho.
There we met Mr T and his guests Etenne and Delene and we cruised to the Bushman Sand hotel in Alicedale for coffee before tackling the dirt.
The first stretch of gravel was new for us except for Mr.T and wow it was a blast with awesome scenery
Anyway here are the photos, enjoy.

We came across this little river crossing which was a mud monster in disguise.
Ettene found the only rock in this muddy stream and his back tyre would not go over it which in its own way was funny especially when Delene had to climb off and slide to shore.
Thankfully no drops happened.

We arrived at Die Kaia and saw this beaut parked under the shade, it turned out to be Bigten from Graaf Rienet who came to ambush us.
1= awesome. You could put some knee pads on the tank to break the white instead of putting a sticker on.

Nice RR and place. I should have taken that ride out but couldn't due to flat tires, got a couple of nails in my rear tire. Had a flat rear which ended up with 3 wheel changes and 5 patches later. So I decided not to ride out on sunday. Next time.

Nice one Drazil, like the phodies.  :thumleft:
It was nice seeing old friends and meeting new ones.  What a beaut of a place,  Die Kaia will definitively see me again.  It's a pity we missed Ben Ten, next time.

Do you mind if I add some phodies.

Nice, Nice, Great weekend had by myself and all who attended.
1) Weather was great.
2) Buds riding with were great with some good chirps
3) Accommodation comfortable.
4) Food excellent.
5) Fishing great. Apology to Drazil. I thought he was a poser fisherman but he proved me wrong.
6) Crab even proved us all wrong after 30 years drought as regards fishing. He showed us who was boss.
7) A great braaimaster for the evening, Etienne. Thanks for the excellent way you turned the best lamb chops into a great meal.
8) Must I not forget the Roster koek. We had a barrel of it and at breakfast it was tasting just as good.

We werewell looked after by our host and will be back.  8)
