Let me qualify the question
Given the same speed, would a knobbly last longer on dirt or on tar?
Is this a non-question due to conditions being too dissimilar?
We usually deflate a little more for the dirt and inflate more for the tar
But if one e.g. had to go @ 100KM/h using the same tyre pressures, when would the tyre wear faster. On (good) dirt or on tar.
I have no issue opening up on dirt and often do speeds of over 150km/h on dirt, but if I do the same on tar (with a knobbly), all I see is money flying away as the tyre screams underneath me.
