Today was earmarked as KLR day in my garage. I was all rigged up to replace the Doo spring, as everyone I spoke to told me that the spring would've broken a loooong time ago
When I got to removing the rotor, I was stuck. No ways the rotor was giving up it's seating on the shaft. I presume I will have to apply heat ?
Anyway, I then loosened the tensioner bolt, and tested the doo with a screwdriver. It worked ! Nice tension on the key. It would move to its original position everytime I tested it. So, am I lucky, or did I get one from a problem free batch ? Maybe the upside on the oil guzzlers
My bike is a 2008 model, and has 27 304 kay's on the clock.
I think I will check it every 10 000 kay's
Any ideas from one of the fundi's on how to remove the stuck rotor next time ?
