Great news for next Darling Dash. Date has been set for 9th January 2021, leaving Durbanville at 08h30, meet at Cavalier motors. All brands welcome, skill level required is easy, there will be a group for speed freaks and dakar wannabes , then the normal riders. We have a sweeper and this ride will be covered by a backup vehicle should the need arise. We end up at Darling Brew for a burger or whatever floats your boat. Return is either tar or back along same dirt route. Join at own risk. If in doubt regarding your skills level, join us and just let us know and we will give help where necessary, only sketch part possibly is going over tracks where stones could present a problem. Any questions or suggestions please message me.

Fantastic!!

The last two videos that are to come does outline some of the more challenging bits that can be experienced on this route. Will have good insight to new riders when deciding if they would like to join in.

[member=27185]Ruans[/member], great video..

I also joined the trip.

See my very short and different version of the trip.  https://youtu.be/0ZjxrYd14Dk

(I only have 1  GoPro...and still learning. trying various mounting options and angles, so this time I had the camera on a "secure and sturdy" screen mount, disaster...)
(But sub and like if you want...)

Nice one man. If you need some tips, let me know.
What I would suggest with one camera is to helmet mount it as it creates more of a sense of movement and cancels out a lot of the vibrations. The older GoPro units do not use stabilization so mounting it on anything that vibrates, makes for shaky video. A side or front mount will work great.
What GoPro did you use here?

Midweek motivation to plan your next route.

Part 3 is up and shows a bit more difficult parts of the route.
Thank you all for the support this far. The engagement, likes, views and subscriptions is well appreciated and the more I get, the more motivated I get to create more content.

I have put these videos in a playlist format on Youtube to make it easy to watch all parts from beginning to end.

The last part of this trip will be online around Friday.

Enjoy

Last video is up and this one made me moist  :lol8:.

Making a project out of this ride was absolutely fantastic and would like to do more videos.
Would like to hear from the community what they would like to see more of.

Items I have on my improvement plan:
- Better Audio. Possibly bringing in in helmet comms to hear me squeal when in panic
- Describing the route bit more as we go along
- Better camera angles

I will start work on my next video on the camera gear I use due to popular demand.
All videos are in a playlist so it is easy to watch from episode 1 - 4.

Thank you. Will see if I can join. Have some maintenance concerns I need to address first.
