I think the person that enjoyed the bash the most was the little boy that did the skills with
his dad on a KLR.
His face said it all all weekend " i am in bikingheaven" :thumleft:

Sweetness, you have a very hidden talent there. Your photo's are excellent  :thumleft:

Like the one where nemo crosses Smitskraal with one leg way up in the air  ;D

That was a Zen moment, have you got any idea how good your sense of balance needs to be to pull of a stunt like that? :peepwall:

Got back at 5pm in joburg today. The bash was well worth the effort to get there. I loved riding BAviaans so much...all those watercrossings were fun! Will post when I've washed my hair....thanks to my riding partners, and Jup, Lyn, the farmers ChRis and Bernt, and their team of cookers bakers AnD pourers....they were all warm, helpful and gracious hosts.

On this photo you can clearly see Throttle jockey, Edgy, Jules and Nemo has been to Smitskraal, see if you can identify their calling cards.

I smaak this photo. look at the head on the right, clearly a rams head, big grin no brains. Check out the ewes head on the left, I can tell it's a ewe raised in the WC just by checking out the passion gap. :3some:

The Woody's stayed over with me on Thursday evening and Friday morning it was off early for a brekkie at Tolbos. Just ahead of the rain.

It would be their 1st time through Baviaans and my 4th one this year  I can't help it, I'm spoilt.

It was a magnificent day to ride. Everything just came together... me on the XT, the weather, conditions in the Kloof etc. I've been through the Kloof many times, and this ride would be one of the best.

Coming up Combrinks pass and enjoying my favourite view at the the top of Bergplaas.

Of course when it comes to the nitty gritty you just go and hope for the best. Not a lot of water, but the stone bed had been ruffened up somewhat. Hats of to the guys on those big XT Z's, especially Wood1 with his pillion.

1. BMWPE
2. Sweisie (Woody jr)
3. Jaybiker. He makes it through and falls over when he gets on terra firma  :imaposer:
4. Woody and Elize styling

And then we had a bash, which I've already told you about.

Sunday Lyn road back with me and it would be her first time through as pillion. Those who now know, know that she know's how to ride pillion. It was my first time taking a pillion through Smitskraal and all I will say about it was that it was interesting and I got us safe and dry on the other side.

We had a pleasant ride. Thanks to our riding buddies.

The post mortem again after Smitskraal, with lots of laughter, and then again my favourite view, this time enhanced by my favourite bike... and my Lovely
