So my last long trip ended up a short one after my off, and I've now recovered enough to have another go at it. I did my own sort-of TSAT, or rather "Around SA" trip clockwise and ended somewhere between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp.
So this time I want to go anti-clockwise from PTA. I have 10 or 12 days or so, and try and include as many mountain passes and legendary routes/places as possible. Here's my (very)short list...
I'd appreciate any input for places to stay, and must-do routes/passes to ride. Planning for 7..19 March.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Preliminary route shown, about 4500kms.

- Hotazel
- Putsonderwater
- Augrabies
- Verneuckpan
- Sutherland (with a night tour of the observatory)
- Tankwa
- Doringriver crossing with SAS willehond (where exactly is this crossing?)
- Agulhas - maybe
- Ouberg pass
- Old Postal Route (still verboten?)
