Decided to take a longer ride and go to Durban this coming weekend . Plan is to leave Friday afternoon around 4 pm and head down to Van Reenen . 290 k ride , and book in at Pyramid lodge , then leave after breakfast and in stead of the N3 use the old road via Lady-smith , Colenso and join back up near Mooi river . On previos extended runs we have booked in at the City lodge in Durban . but think to maybe go down to Scottburough .
Another option is to try to get to the R614 , and do that part of Zululand , just not sure how safe and good the road is .
Any suggestions ?
