I bought my 2002 F650GS in August this year. It has 40k km on it, and I gave it a service when I receive it. I only really started using it last week, and I noticed that the radiator fan goes on after a short distance of travelling (like 5km). The temperature light doesn't go on, even after travelling 60km, so I don't think the bike is overheating.
So I have 2 questions:
- Is it normal for the radiator fan to go on after travelling such a short distance, does other riders' radiator fan also go on?
- Is it possible to add a temperature gauge to the thermostat to better see when the bike is overheating, or is it not necessary.
I've been lurking on Wilddog for over a year, and finally decided the F650GS is the bike I want.
Your input is greatly appreciated.
