F650GS radiator recore?

Has anyone done a sucsessfull recore on a Dakar radiator (at Silverton etc.)  My bike is running a hit hot (fan works way to hard) and I am overhauling the entire cooling system, incl replacing waterpump and gears, and thermostat.  The rad is 7 years old with some dents, and blokked airflow channels/fins. (no leaks)
