The Brigadier met me in Worcester en we set off to Swellendam for a brekkie while waiting for R-O-V-Rat and his son, John-John. They were paying a visit to a good friend and came through earlier the morning. Our fifth partner did not show up due to unknown reasons. Ek-wietie.
R-O-V-Rat and John-John arriving.
Brigadier, R-O-V-Rat and the little man from Mars ……………. John-John.
From Swellendam we turn right onto the N2 and after about 4 km left onto the gravel towards Malgas. On this road we got some light rain but we did not get snotty places on the road.
R-O-V-Rat doing something …………… :
Brigadier and John-John.
From Malgas it’s off to Heidelberg.
Shopping in Heidelberg.
On the road to Gysmanshoek Pass it was misty with a light drizzle.
Turn-off to Gysmanshoek.
In Gysmanshoek the weather changed.
The Brandrivier road.
Turn-off to Van Wyksdorp.
Church in Van Wyksdorp
Scenery through Rooiberg Pass
Uhuru Guest Farm near Calitzdorp Spa.
Turn-off at Zoar to Seweweekspoort.
Sprinkling irrigation system. >
Scenery in Seweweekspoort. Spot the profile of a man’s face in the second last photo.
On the Vleiland road between Seweekspoort and Laingsburg.
R-O-V-Rat and John-John took the Ladismith road home and me and the Brigadier carried on to the Witteberge turn-off just before Laingsburg.
On the Witteberge road. It is a beautiful road but be aware of free roaming cattle.
The Witteberge road links up with the N1 near a small railway siding called Konstabel.
From there on we took the tar home.
Thanks R-O-V-Rat, John-John and Brigadier for a lekker two days ride. :thumleft: :thumleft:
