Frequent replacement of back brake pads

Hi Dogs

I would like to find out from KLR riders how often you guys replace your brake pads. I replaced a set 6 weeks ago and had to replace again yesterday. I did notice that the pads that were put on by ............... ( I won't mention the business name) seem to have been the incorrect ones because the ones I got yesterday differed significantly but fitted properly this time. I know the obvious answer is that with the incorrect pads you won't get a good lifespan but what is the norm for these bikes?
