Has anyone here done this in the past or planning on doing this year?
Is it worth it?
Hello All,
We are pleased to confirm that the 2013 running of this annual event is taking place on Sunday the 7th of July 2013.
We will meet at the Long Meadow One Stop, exit 119A the M37 to Edenvale from 05h00am to depart down the N3 towards Heidelberg at 05h30am
Or alternately meet up at the One Stop at Villiers from 6H45 am in the Wimpy for prompt departure to Little Switzerland at 7H30 am, after the group photograph
We are going back to Little Switzerland, on the Oliviershoek Pass in KZN
However due to the condition of the road past Sterkfontein Dam we are doing two different routes, splitting at Harrismith
Route One
All tar route down Van Reenens pass turning toward Bergville on the R616 and then up to Little Switzerland on the R74, this adds about an extra 100km to the route.
Route Two
or “GS” route on the existing road that is need of repair past Sterkfontein Dam
A hearty full English Breakfast including coffee and the mandatory sherry will be available at R 100.00 per person, this is for your account, payable at the door.
Please confirm your participation for catering purposes by return mail to [email protected] asap.
Please feel free to invite your non-BMW riding buddies to join us and let’s see if we can have a record turn-out this year.

After breakfast you can then decide your own route home
