On My last return trip from the coast I filled up for the final slep home At Thanda tau , I normally fill it ( overfill) to the brim just not leaking out and hit the road , Level went up to full , and stayed there , as if stuck , did not take much notice as it does this often , but it was still showing full after doing 160 ks , Turned off the bike , had some lunch , then on starting up the gauge would go from full down 2 bars then back up , did this a couple of time , then the dash shoed a error , error cleared itself , on again off again . At home the level was down 3 bars and the gauge did not go up to full .
Had a chat to my son, and he said they have had this on some bikes , the float gets stuck in the sender tube , they remove the tube , and sand the float a bit , refit and this seems to sort out the problem . Any more on this ? your experience?
