WOW farkin' awesome .... just got to wipe the drool off the floor - A big one in the name of DS Adventure in every aspect. Thanks a mil. :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

Fantastic rr dude. Thanks so much for sharing and I don't know who was btching about too much reading; it was well written and entertaining.  :thumleft:

Also, it's good to see Transalps being used properly; I think there are too many commuter TA's out there...

Cheers

Great RR Fuzzy!!!  :thumleft:

Thanks for sharing, this trip will definitely go on my bucket list!!

Had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery yesterday, reading all this not only took the discomfort away, it makes me look forward to mounting Thunderchild in the near future. Well done, you waxed it six love!

Thank you , thank you  :thumleft: doing a rr is a labour of love, resizing pics, posting and retelling the story, it is great to know it gets read and is appreciated, it makes the late nights all worth while.

I appreciate your comments, thank you  :thumleft: Hopefully my stars align and we will be doing untravelled roads in western Moz this December.

Time to go back to Zim. Been a long time.
You definitly don't want to go to the highlands in the rainy season. Think current weather in the Cape.
Those red roads become snotty at best.

Thanks, been a great read

Who would have thought.

Muzz...in the old days you would be a Pathfinder.

Thank you for sharing You and your Buds experiences in Zimbabwe. So many have a negative affinity to Zim and you...have started something.  :thumleft:

Excellent. I spent quite a lot of time in this area between 92 and 94 as I was working in Harare and had friends with family in Mutare.

We also spent a week plus there on vacation in 96,

I was in a 4WD, so although we saw just about everything you did, we didn't get into some of the more difficult routes.

There are also some ruins in the area along the lines of Great Zimbabwe, but not as big or well preserved, that had zero tourist presence.

So onto how I am 2:0 down so far.. one of my new spotlight brackets had snapped ( on tar.. I know ) leaving my spot to dangle by the cables, a few cable ties and some wire later it was back in place but it didn't last.. I ended up just taking the spot off the next day.
Hi Fuzz, I think I sold you the spots? Unsure, and no matter, I would like to see what snapped, and remedy it for you!

Nice RR by the way  :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:
Cheers
Chris

Thanks Chris, I really appreciate the offer. I got the brackets from Yamaha but Andy has already come over to my place and given me a replacement bracket  :thumleft:

yes, very true, we decided to go in slightly warmer weather, I wouldn't like to be in the highlands when it rains, it would be slow going and quite nasty.

Wow what a good RR, thanks for sharing.
Enjoy your detail Fuzzy.
Planning to do Zim in 2014.

Thanks for that RR.  Read it from start to end in one sitting, just could not put it down.  Thanks again.  Fantastic

Awesome. if you are planning on going from Harare to Kariba ask around about the power cable run ( I hope I got that right ).. It is quite famous, you can ride between the 2 along the power lines. I believe it is done as a race once a year.
