Gamchab river trail after recent rain??

Hi guys, planning on doing a Nam trip with the family and with the N7 badly damaged just before the borderpost I was wondering if someone can maybe comment on the state of the Gamchab river trail on route to Ai-Ais or know of someone close by to ask??
