As many of you know, GlenInk was an avid geocacher, combining this hobby with bike riding.

https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=63425.0

When he passed away, he had 3 trackable items that he registered in various geocaches on behalf of the owners of the items.

Trackable items (for those that don't know), travel between geocaches and many have a mission to go somewhere in the world.

These are the trackables that was with him.
When you click on the links you, will see where Glen went and in which caches he logged the trackables together with his comments and pictures.  :'(

I had the trackable items sent on to me by Smuggy.

I also informed the owners of the travel bugs that these are now with me.

So here is the plan.

We do an outride to three geocaches in the western cape that is remote from the  city and place one travel bug in each.

Afterwards we go somewhere and eat / drink something.

I will take some pictures to load on the geocaching site and we can all contribute our own pictures here in a ride report.

Let's make it a Western Cape memorial ride for Glen, because many of us could not attend his service.

Please contribute your ideas - I will research a few geocaches, but WD's that also do geocaching are welcome to suggest any.

PS: I see the one travel bug wants to go to Antarctica and is part of a third grade project in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania of the USA.
If anybody knows of someone travelling to the icy south from Cape town - let's see if we can help with that.
After all - Cape Town is the departure spot for many research vessels. Time is not a factor here.
