Congrats , can I sell you a pair of boots for really cheap?

My daugher has the same bike and loves it, she has outgrown these boots.

Best Ride Report Ive read in a while, and, a bike for a boy is cheaper than drugs and pregnant teenage girlfriends!

I don't know...

Chics dig bikes.

This might only be the beginning of problems[emoji6]

Great RR and great Dad!!

such a nice story Kaboef.....ur precious cargo will never forget and obviously the spoil

exactly how life long memories are made..... :thumleft:

materially expensive but in some many other respects priceless

Hey Kaboef, What a cool trip. I remember in my last year in SA doing a 3 night trip with my son and he was roughly the same age. Probably my favourite memories of a bike trip and him and I often still chat about it. He is 22 years old now.

Thanks Jimmy.

Yes, the trip really brought us closer together.
With him riding a bike now, we can share banter as we now have a common interest.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys.

Aldo is becoming more and more confident on the bike.
I see him relaxing his body, not tensing up anymore. He also really likes brake-sliding the back wheel.. He can do feet-up tight turns easily, and generally he looks like he is in control of the bike. Not scared anymore.

And he has tried stoppies (luckily without much success), and after watching a few Youtube wheelie videos, he is now asking me to teach him how to get the front wheel in the air.  :eek7:

Hy het lekker gery, seker so 20 rondtes. Ek het nie getel nie, want ek het vir klein Cillie ook gehad wat wou fietsry so my aandag was verdeel.

Aldo ry regtig oulik.

But!

No job in finished until the paperwork is done.

So that evening, the negotiations with Rael and Michelle were concluded via Whatsapp and yesterday morning early I again found myself en-route to the Tankwa, but this time with the bakkie.

We loaded the bike, and Rael even provided the owners manual, spare key, original tool kit and purchase invoice. The little Honda is immaculate. Hardly ridden.

And Aldo hasnt climbed off it since.

Most expensive bike trip ever? Definitely.
Well done dad.Wish i was there riding with you in the muddy Tankwa.my favorite place
