I bought my CTEK MXS 5.0 charger in May 2013 from Outdoor Warehouse. It has been used 100% for my bike when it sits in my garage, hooked up to keep to battery going.
Yesterday my car's battery died on me and I attempted to use the CTEK charger on it, but it was stuck in the "bike mode" program setting and would not switch over to the car program mode. I searched Google and found that the little selection button was the problem.
I contacted CTEK SA to ask where I could buy or get the little switch to replace it. The lady asked me over the phone to provided the charger's serial number. Turns out it is still under warranty and I could exchange for a new one, no issue. Even after more than 3 years. Went to Outdoor Warehouse and they called CTEK to confirm. Exchanged the old unit for a new one and Bob's your uncle :thumleft: The price difference is now is R500.
