After a disastrous Namibia trip attempt (very short report to follow over the weekend), I offloaded my Geen Sand Avontuur from the trailer. As they say, bad things come in threes... And this is nr 3...
Started the bike and immediately noticed a noise and vibration from the gearbox. It disappears when I pull in the clutch. Logically that means the bearings are stuffed, right?
I'm looking for a workshop that work on the bike without costing a arm and a leg. They will need to replace the bearings. It has about 85k km on it. While they are opening her up, I think they might as well replace the clutch and do the driveshaft bearings at the same time.
>Anything else that can be recommended while she is open?
>What cost am I looking at?
>Is it wortwile going for the ceramic clutch?
>Can anyone recommend someone in the JHB area for the job that won't cost a arm and a leg?
