Hi Guys
I had a road side break down with my DL 1000 and would like to share it with fellow 1000 owners as I was forewarned and thus forearmed (hope I got that right?).
Last weekend my son and I came back from a sleep over and the bike had a huge backfire, lost power, and sounded like it was missing part of the exhaust. The noise came from somewhere under the tank, so I initially suspected a plug was blown out or an exhaust related issue, maybe a gasket.
However, after I lifted the tank, this is what I found.
It was dead easy to fix.
My bike is a 2007 with 70 000 km's
