August long weekend turned out to be a stay at home weekend , but I have a lust for a nice long ride . Convinced my short ride buddy that he needs to extend his distances as 200 k return trip on a Sunday just does not cut it . And he agreed to join . Got me thinking if there is anybody else that has no plans for Friday 9 August that would like to join for a nice long ride .
We are leaving from KEMPTON ( VAN RIEBEECK PARK ) at 7 am , heading down the N3 to Heidelberg , then turn off onto the R23 to Standerton -Vrede - Warden , then make out way to Kestel and via Goldengate park to Clarens , and then back home Bethlehem - Frankfort -Villeirs N3 -KEMPTON
Expecting to be home around 5.30/6 pm
Plan is to have breakfast in Standerton or Vrede then lunch in Clarens and A drink stop on the way home .
