Can anyone offer advice?
My F650GS has been running 100%, about a month ago, I went over a small bump in the tar and the bike felt as if it missed a beat, as I looked at the rev counter it seemed like the bike was revving 3000rpm higher than it actually was, (engine sounded normal, but the rev limiter would kick in) effectively loosing 3000rpm to ride with!
I stopped, switched off the engine and restarted it, everything back to normal.
It has happened a few times until yesterday, as I tried to open the throttle it seemed to bog, and then wanted to die, once again it was showing the idling speed on the rev counter was 3000rpm
If I switch the engine off and on again, it makes the bike idle normally, until I try accelerate.
The battery is around a year old and works like a charm, it has a clean air filter!
I have read through quite a few threads but cant seem to find the common problem! Hopefully its a loose connection, but with my limited knowledge I dont know where to start.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
