Help Needed With Montana 600

I created some routes in Mapsource and sent it to the Montana.Wheni it is connected to my PC if find the routes on the drive named Garmin Montana 600. When I disconnect it from the PC I cannot find my routes. What am I doing wrong. I am pressed for time so cannot read through all the Montana threads
