Nice summary Pieter and and the routes indicated give one a nice idea of the variety of terrain on offer.
Add to that the district roads in the area (Beaufort West, Loxton, Fraserburg, Sutherland, Merweville, Prince Albert) that provide epic exploring on bigger bikes, and you have something for everyone.

The bonus of superb accommodation is the cherry on top.

It is Rooiheuwel Guest Farm. A variety of accommodation options and a nice base to explore the area, but I don`t think the tracks @Losper posted above are generally accessible as the farmer is quite sensitive due to the stock and abundance of game. Access has been negotiated for the upcoming event(s)

I was feeling like shit for most of the weekend and eventually on Saturday threw in the towel after breakfast and headed back to our accommodation to rest up.
However before I got back I remembered a turnoff to a "bushcamp" and "Rietfontein" , so I decided to just take a mellow ride and see where the track headed. The end result was a most pleasant ride, with some nice riverbed sections...once again showing the variety of terrain on offer and allowing me to indulge in my favorite type of riding, just exploring a track and seeing where it ends.

The 300 is the ideal bike - easy to ride, quiet, light on juice. you have a winner for you
