HID v LED

Five or six years ago everyone wanted HID lights, and it used to cost about R1500 for a single bulb conversion.
Now we can get LED spotlights at a good price and with very good claimed light output.

I am considering a HID kit to use on my KLR. Has anyone fitted both LED and HID that can give an opinion on these lights?
