Hi Dogs,
My 2007 Adventure S has recently started to rev a bit high (about 3000 RPM) on startup. The weird thing is it only does this if you actually engage 1st gear and start riding, revs drop down to normal after about 2 minutes. If you start it and let it idle in neutral there is no issue.
I've read a couple of threads on this and have done the most common fixes:
- Replaced battery with a known good one
- 15 minute idle reset
Any ideas? Doesn't really bother me, more interested in knowing if this is indicative of some other issue?
