What is the highest trouble free kilos you have heard of on a single cylinder 650GS or Dakar?
Reason for asking, when I had mine the BMW guys told me it will easily do 120,000km without problems. That was some years ago and the bike I had then only had 20,000 on the clock.
But now I am looking for one again and I saw two advertised on Gumtree, one is like my old bike, 2005 Dakar, with 100,000km on the clock and one is the older model Dakar with 80,000km on the clock.
So I was just wondering:
1. How much further will they go with those kilos
2. If the worst happen and the engine reaches the end of its live, what will it cost to repair/replace, more than the bike?
3. What typically goes wrong at such high kilos?
