Horn on the 1190 Adventure

I noticed that the horn on my 1190 sounds somewhat like a cat with a cold coughing up a furball  :eek7: After a quick google I saw two similar comments from other owners.

Are these defective units or does all of them sound this bad?!?  I have difficulty believing that this is what it should sound like.
