Hi dogs,
On my recent trip through on the R355 between Ceres and Calvinia, my bike developed this annoying rattle somewhere on the front light assemble. My initial roadside inspection did not reveal any obvious problems so I continued on.
At my overnight stop I started removing the cowling only to get stuck with the main bolt that runs from the top of the cowling, through the headlight and to the stay (See attached picture, red arrow). I was unable to remove this bolt as the little plate that they nut is welded onto have broken off, thus turning the bolt only turns the broken plate. Attempts to grab hold of it with long nose pliers or a flat spanner all failed.
Any suggestions on a way forward?
