I visited Donford on Saturday to see how the gearbox bearing repair is coming along.
Now I have real nightmares with the pictures embedded in my brain...
The picture of only a front HP, strapped onto a lift, as if the back half was taken away by a train or limpet mine, is straight from a HORROR movie...
sh...t ek kry nou nog koue rillings......
Why??
After the bearings were replaced in the FD 4000km's ago, I still had the noise on the clutch + the resonating vibration coming from the "drive train/gearbox" at 65 - 80km/h.
I had a short spin on Kalahri Leeu's HP recently and realised how much smoother his bike is compared to mine. (apart from the lekka Remus.....)
Decided to have mine fixed while I am also recuperating from repairs done to my knee....
A few very important points to note:
The next owner of my bike , if it becomes available, will have a HP close to the original "new" condition" and,
My wife should never be granted access to this site...... ;D
