I recently contacted Touratech to procure some valve cover protectors for the 1200 GS. Haha. The lady told me they have in stock - but only for left hand pots, because they mistakenly got sent a consignment for one cylinder only. :
Anyway, so it looked like it's gonna take frikkin ages, so I got impatient and had a brainwave. I ordered the nylon/plastic Valve Cover Protector for the HP2. With bolts and fings it amounts to a fairly frisky R2100.
It will arrive at my friendly Motorrad dealer tomorrow hopefully. Now, to put the cart before the horse or the arse in front of the mouth... it should fit, hey? I mean, they have basically the same heads and tappet covers, don't they?
Please say they do, otherwise I'm going to have to decline their invitation to come and collect it - I did after all, tell them it's for my 1200 GS.
