Hi Popipants. I see that we do write a ride report almost simultaneously about the same place. We should do a merger with our reports ;)  When have you guys been at Epupa?

Nice report. The Epupa falls are still on the horizon for me. Those baobab trees with the waterfall that envelops them are magical.

Sorry for the delay. I've been a bit busy.
Will post the next couple of days tonight.

Day 7
Distance: 559 km
Accommodation :Khowarib Lodge N$80 p/p

Knowing there wasn't much in the line of food or shops on our route today we ate breakfast at the camp-site.

Our Camp-site the next morning

As we left there's a little hill you can go up for a full view of the falls  :deal: :deal: Awesome!!
The sun was directly behind the falls to the pictures did not come out so good.  :'( :'(

The C3 running all the way down Namibia turned out to a gem of a road. Lots of mountain passed with smooth open fast gravel.

The only thing that slowed you down was the river crossings, and there were lots of them. And most of them had water in.

I did notice a little design flaw on the 800 and the Trax panniers. When you stand and you go through the water quickly the water "bounces" off the panniers and hits you right on the ass.
This is annoying as my ass was wet most of the day  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Saw lots of game; Zebra's,  and impala.

The road heading South gradually got worse. They seem to be working on in some places but there were lots of sharp rocks everywhere.
I take my hat off the the TKC's they really took a hammering on the rocks

@ChrisL,  Khowarib Lodge is about 6-7km before Ongongo on your way to Sesfontein.  Oom-Foerie is correct, but a lot closer to Ongongo.
