Route 1 (The Two Day Sightseer)
This route requires that we leave Cape Town no later than Thursday 9 November at 11:00
It covers no less than 11 passes and various sights such as the Cango Caves, Croc farms, Kammanassie mountains, etc.
I have gone with Oppad?s suggestion that we sleep in Oudtshoorn?s campsite.

Leg 1
Depart from Engen Winelands
N1 over Du Toitskloof pass
N1 to De Doorns and Hexrivier pass
Matroosberg turn right on R318
R318 to Rooihoogte pass & Burgers pass
Arrive in Montagu (First fuel stop 213km)

Depart Montagu
Dirt road to Anysberg
Anysberg to Ladismith
Ladismith to Van Wyksdorp via R327
Van Wyksdorp to Rooiberg pass on to Oudtshoorn (Second fuel stop 273km)
End of Day 1

Depart Oudtshoorn to Prince Albert via R328
Schoemanspoort pass, Swartberg pass & Cango caves
Prince Albert to De Rust via Meiringspoort pass
De Rust to Willowmore via Ghwarriespoort and Buyspoort passes
Arrive in Willowmore (Third fuel stop 259km)

Enter Baviaanskloof
Arrive Doringkloof (88km)

Distance Day 1 = 486km (approximately 7hours riding)
Distance Day 2 = 347km (approximately 5hours riding)
Total Distance = 721km ? more than 40% of that will be on dirt
