Daai hek is net na Oukloofpas.  Nooi geweet van die pad nie, maar ek gaan hom virseker weer ry.

Hier is waar die hek was, 3 foto's om jou 'n idee te gee, die 1ste een is close up, waar die swart sirkel is, daar was die hek.
Die ander 2 kaarte is om jou net 'n idee te gee van waar dit was.

Great RR, big respect for Mev VA!
Jeez, makes me homesick  :(  I had planned to visit SA again this year, but the world-wide lockdown stopped all planning. So hopingly next year.....

VA, you didn't work for Da Gama, did you? Half King seemd to have worked for them. My sister and husband did so as well. After retrenchment a few years ago, they moved to East London.

Nope, did not work for Da Gamma, but know a few people who did.  Knew the the chef from the cafe they had on the premises as well.  Had good chow there.  Also knew a few people from King Tannery, but that closed down completely.  .   
 
What time of the year did you do this trip? Last year in March we tried the Baviaans route, but the ranger advised us not to try the drif. Too much water. So we rerouted via Patensie to Steytlerville. But there the crossing of the Groot Rivier wasn't any better  :eek:
