If any of you have played with the KLR rear shock you know how pretty lame it is, needs to be set at 5 to counter the sag and its worse if you weigh around 100.
Apart from going on a diet all the other options cost a lot, apart from my latest effort to improve it.
Eagle RL-1 raising links.
I dropped the pre-load to 1 and installed the links. With the shock set like this the bike is as high as it was on 5 preload. This means there is a lot of travel and plushness now, no more bouncing on a hard spring but rather using the full range available.
Pics and ride report to follow.
