KTM 950 Adventure
Hi guys, I wonder if any of you KTM riders out there could help me solve this 'mystery' with the oil pilot light please. I have a fairly low milage 950 Adventure (approx. 30 000) in stock standard trim and in excellent condition. I've noticed that when its running a little hot (cooling fan on etc.) for a little while, the oil warning light comes on. If I shut off the engine and wait for it to cool down for a few minutes, then its all back to normal and play time is on again.

I've checked the oil level and its all kosher, so I'm not sure why this happens. Could it be that with the hot engine, the viscosity of the engine oil changes, and the oil pump struggles to pump it??? This is the only explanation that I could come up with.

I would appreciate any ideas or feedback.

Cheers!
