I have huge 'smileys' on both my rims from a ride this week-end. I hit a lurker, whilst travelling behind someone. Had i been riding like a hooligan i would understand it, but this was not even at speed!
I cannot believe the rims are so soft! I have checked the threads for info on this topic & have not found any concrete solutions.
I phoned Biking Accesories & they say the 950's used to be problematic but NOT the newer models!
I took the front wheel off & had a friend press the rim back into some semblance of it's former self, but feel that this is a temporary fix.
Are there after-market rims out ther & who stocks them?
