KTM950 "grating" gear changes

Hi Wild Dogs

Has anyone experienced "grating" in gear changes on a 2004 KTM950 and what is the cause of this? Is it a manufacturing fault? How can it be solved? My bike only has 8000 k's on and the gears "grate" when you change - it's as if the clutch is not doing it's job?
