Licence holder mounting

I have lost my licence disk again. It is mounted on the top bolt of the rear brake calliper. Seems like my pillions just can not keep their feet off it. They either kick it of or bend it so that it scrapes on the brake disk. Where is your licence disk fitted? This is on a later model KLR ('09).
