I eventually got to go for a very short ride today between finishing work and downloading the next batch of work.
All work and no play...yeah not today 😁

This was meant to be a peep at part of the route that a certain SirSeGat will be taking coming in to Hennenman. I didn't get too far, after 2 sand patches, freshly graded, some serious gradient, roads I was done 🀣.

Seriously, it was fun, but I had to get back before 4 hours of loadshedding started πŸ˜’ and not much to do with the thick sand πŸ˜‰πŸ€£

Heading out of town.

The gradient on this πŸ‘‡ road was quite steep. I stopped on the other side to make sure my bike wouldn't fall over. You're literally riding at an angle if you don't stick to the middle.

Here you can see the freshly graded road. I took my panniers off, wanting to see how the bike would handle the roads with the Nomad tailbag weight (full).
Let's just say I'll be putting my panniers back on for longer 1 day solo trips. Little Tart has a very light rear end and the bimbo likes to sway it out πŸ˜‚.
I'm learning to enjoy the swaying butt as I learn to keep my body upright and in line with the ground (not laying down in line πŸ˜‚). As I grip with my knees I'm also finding my hands are extremely light on the bars which again adds to the enjoyment.

At this point πŸ‘‡ I had been through 2 sand patches. It's amazing how after succeeding in getting through the first patch your confidence grows. At this point, not far from town, I had to turn around.

I had enough time to get home, lock Little Tart up tight from the thieves, fill up the generator and make sure work was downloaded. Good thing too...that sand was THICK 🀣🀣

I'll post a short video just now of my craziness after getting through the first sand patch πŸ˜‚.

Looks like a nice ride πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Just something that puzzles me is, why do you turn around when loadshedding starts πŸ€” Here I was thinking loadshedding was created to have more riding time 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

Oh and one more thing, tell that pad skrapper drywer hy moet nie so K@K skraap nie, ek ry nie op skewe paaie nie 😈

@ROAD HOG it was a nice ride and normally I do ride during the 2 hour loadshedding sessions 🀣🀣🀣 but my 70 year old mom doesn't quite grasp how to work the generator and the switches in the house. We use the generator on the 4 hour sessions otherwise we'll have rotten food in no time.

@firecoast exactly 🀣🀣🀣 but maybe that's why he's going for lessons πŸ€” 😏 πŸ˜‰ 🀣🀣🀣

Dear MaddyS, you might not have realised that Country Trax is a BMW Training Academy and not a KTM Training Academy. 🀦

First of all there are no KTM Training Academies, mainly because KTM's don't need training nor does it's pilots. 🀷

Secondly, I am going to Country Trax on behalf of a friend who is interested in the BMW Meerkating. So in actual fact I will be doing a research tour. 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

I have it, on good authority, that KTM riders cannot waste time in rider training as they are too busy with bike mechanic training. 😜

Dear ROAD HOG, I know it's a BMW training academy. Those poor guys can never stay upright and actually need training for it.

KTM mechanics advised KTM not to do any form of academy due to the fact that the riders would be spending more time with TOOLS than rather on their bikes actually riding.

BTW, where's your bike 🀣🀣🀣🀣

Stupidly excited about getting through sand πŸ˜‚. Where the "squiggle" started is where I made my first mistake, I looked down. Oh, and "steering wheel" was a whoops 🀭

When I think of thick sand I imagine half your tyre vanishing in it like at adv training grounds 😏 something for Mr Wiseass to think about 🀣🀣

☝️ ORANGE Free State no longer exists, so that already makes your statement outdated and false 🀣🀣

✌️ You never answered the question, where is your bike 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

I had a bit of a moment this morning through some deep sand on my servitude road.
I wasn't looking at the road, and almost had a bit of a nap.

Got to love those sand naps but horrible when they sneak up on you
