@MaddyS - Do your tool tubes have those little pieces that you can put a cable tie through to keep the lid on as I have seen too many tool tubes lose their lids due to vibration on gravel roads. Worst is losing your tools etc as well
What Porra says, as well as the overall fastening of the tube. Will that survive a gutted road with the weight of the tools and tubes bouncing?

The tubes are bolted onto the rack via a flat bar. The only way they will come off is if they break. There is hardly any movement at all when putting pressure on the tubes directly. When bouncing the bike, there was no movement at all. Only time will tell, but I am sure the first thing to go will be the plastic of the tubes where bolted (cracking and then breaking). It just mustn't happen any time soon
The tubes are fine, it is the lids that unwind and screw off sometimes

Hey! ... not overloading ... loading in the wrong places.It is not the end of the world though and those tool tubes work fine but as said. Whenever you stop check that the lid is still closed and secured and as Louis said, do not overload them in terms of weight.
@HotKlou is an perfect example of overloading on tools
Funny, but I seem to recall you not needing any of the “entire workshop” you loaded onto “twakkie”Hey! ... not overloading ... loading in the wrong places.

I was asked if I was planning a RTW trip with my setup of tools. People don't understand, further than 200 kms is RTW tool worthy
