I rediscovered that my small Givi tankbag has magnets for mounting, along with the straps. I use it for a tyre pressure gauge, some toilet paper, a lighter, my reading glasses if on a longer trip, some sweets and a few other odds and ends. So, nothing heavy. The magnets are really handy for when I am filling up, negates the need to undo straps and stuff.
Are your experiences that these magnets are strong enough that the tankbag won't be dislodged? I don't do serious technical riding or jumps and other radical stuff. Testing the magnets this morning, I had to apply a bit of effort to get the bag off, it was not simply a matter of them sliding off willingly.
Your thoughts please.
