Well it finally happened and Lightning1(leader), Madmike999, Johannes+Boet, APO, Nomad, Jimbo and Great White(sweeper) started about 09:30 with the Second attempt on Maraisburg. And for the guys that could not make it because of work, sorry for you but it was awesome. Thanks Lightning1, I really had a great time. Sorry Johannes, I hope you recover well and see you on the next ride.

Last week I was cursing Splash for dragging me thru the SunCity mud, but all is forgiven, Lightning is now the bad, nasty person.
Not sure who got off worse, my XT or me. Whether it was owing to the non existant tyres I had or the fact that I was simply out of my league, all in all, strangely enough it was not regretted, but good fun.
All things considered I got off lightly - Johannes, that looked very sore, I hope you heal soon.

Thanks guys for your support and another great ride.

This is the hill where I saw me rear!

Thanks for a great ride everybody.

I am sorry that Johannes' brother ended up with a broken collar bone, though, and hope he gets well soon.

Now APO hates me as well. Damn!

I have some action photos, but have no idea how to load them onto the post, so if any of you can help, I will e-mail them to you, and if you can post them, it will be great.

Thanks for the ride dudes! Haven't had that much fun and terrain variaty in a long time. You can send the pics to me. My email is [email protected]

If anybody else wants them all, pm me, and I will e-mail them to you.

Will post them tomorrow night. Busy drinking and gonna be working tomorrow

Billy Joe, I would suggest you join up with a group because the route is a bit like a maze. It heads into Soweto and you could easily get lost. You should not go there alone either. And I would suggest you take an off road, bike the dunes are steep, rutty and very soft sand. Taking a heavy bike could prove a handful. MadMike is probably training for the next Dakar!!!

thanks for the compliments  :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:

Hey BJ. next ride just come with, it's not that hard.!
