Hi guys.
I'm looking for some clarity on what milage to expect from a Mitas E09 back tyre?
I recently put on brand new E09s on my XT660Z just before leaving on a trip (gravel) after about 2000kms some obvious ware was already showing... and by the end of the trip (4400kms) the tyre was pretty much shot. See photos attached.
So naturally some questions:
- Is this the type of mileage I should expect to get out of the tyre? (Really thought I would get a lot more)
- Roads were a little rocky, did this have an effect?
- Did I just ride like a hooligan?
- Was the tyre maybe pumped too hard? (2.3bar)
- Could it have been an old tyre?
- What would be an alternative for a similar tyre but with some more potential mileage?
