Namibia on the cheap on a KLR

We did most of that trip 3 years ago, We absolutely love Nam, Great photo's and I loved the "silver" grass, only seen in Namibia, amazing. Tx for sharing.
What time of year did you go, the weather conditions and day time temperatures?

Shanti, it is a beautiful RR for many, many reasons not the least of which is that you have managed to portray something about the essence of adventure riding.

Went last month , the weather was cold in the evenings , bit chilly in early mornings south of the tropic of Capricorn - the further north you head the better the weather gets - I had a few swims in rock pools and rivers if that is anything to go on . Round Swakop and near the coast there is a 'mist ' in the late evenings and early mornings .
Ave temp I would say was 24 C - this is just a guess - Strange thing was when I reached the SA border it started to rain - reminded me of when I was backpacking and was hitching up to Scotland - as soon as I reached the welcome to Scotland sign it started to rain .... I guess rain likes to hang out near border points

I hear sounds (in my heard?) when i dont ride my KLR for a while.

I think the bike starts moaning like a husky....
