Nice one Knatterwater! I am also in Swakop and we should go for a ride sometime.
Kan mos net lekker wees, my e-mail is op my profile, kontak my asb. dan maak ons 'n plan!

Cool idea, and those attending that are born in Namibia get special rates.....
Can we please have it at Solitaire? Then we can go play in Remhoogte and Spreedshoogte passes
and give Moose a heart atttack making a lot of dust!!! :mwink:
Wel ek is in soos more heeldag!

Einde April begin Mei is n lekker tyd weersgewys.

Thanks so much for sharing - I really enjoyed that RR, and look forward to many more in the future  :thumleft:

I have been thinking to do a series of one day trips using Basil's lodge as a base.
It looks like you will be able to go in almost any direction, with varied riding conditions and lots of sand.
Minimal luggage and a backup vehicle that can be dispatched from the lodge should anything go seriously wrong.
Should be perfect for enduro bikes with some extra fuel capacity.
You could even trailer there.
Come back to a cold bear and that nice pool every night.

What do the Namibians think?

Sounds excellent, however not sure of the trailer and backup vehicles are so over rated. >:D

I think backup vehicles was created by guys who cannot get their wife’s to stay at home or who wants their wife’s along but not on the bike..............! :pot:

You can travel twice as far and drink twice as much beer if the backup vehicle stays at home. :peepwall:

I believe and experienced it a few times already, there is always someone out there that will lend a hand when you're in need....! :thumleft:

I must say every trip I have had, some good weather some bad,but the memories come flooding back.I agree Ruan that lovely feeling of being knackered after a hard days ride and settling into a few cold ones.I have always liked to push myself and biking does that cause it's different from being in a nice airconditioned cage. You are constantly working. :thumleft:

that is exactly the idea, 3 guys trailer  to the lodge.go for one or two day rides  and can go back for the trailer if shit happens.I am sure Basil will offer that kind of service for a small fee. They hosted a big enduro competition in Uis last year.

Baie nice report. Ek travel baie in daardie geweste, maar elke keer as jy so iets lees wil jy sommer dadelik weer ry.

Thanks for the RR.
Namibia has to offer the best riding for South Africans.
