Narrower tyres on the 1190/1290

On the bikes with the 17/19 setup.  I see some guys are putting 150s on the back and 110s up front instead of the stock 170/120 setup.

Is there any danger in doing this?   It seems to be a pain finding 170/120 tyres man.
