New Excel rear rim, what width is best?

Hi Guys,

Need to buy a new rear rim for the 950, Going with excel, whats the best size to go for?
Standard is 18x4.25 but i have heard of people going for the 3.5?

Can you fit the 150 size tires on the 3.5
